Short answers to the things people ask first.

What exactly is a Spark?

Everything you capture is a Spark. Emberel classifies it as a reminder, task, note, checklist, or link, gives it a title, and keeps the original details editable. An untimed idea is shown as a Note Spark.

Do I have to choose the type when I capture?

No. Emberel proposes how each Spark behaves and pulls out dates. You can review the capture preview, use the post-save correction offered by that channel, or open the Spark later. Split captures are labeled as several Sparks rather than implying one action edits every result.

How does SMS capture work?

The SMS campaign is approved. SMS remains disabled pending controlled activation tests. After activation, the only initial opt-in will be the optional, unchecked consent box beside the mobile field in signed-in Settings. A first text from the saved number verifies control; it is not a second opt-in path. Emberel does not use an initial keyword opt-in. Can I use Emberel without texting?

Absolutely. Capture in the web app, by voice, by photo, or by email, and use email reminders plus the weekly digest. Inbound email passed a controlled plain-text production canary on September 2, 2026, including visible capture and temporary-file cleanup. Text messaging is not required and is currently disabled.

Does it do recurring reminders?

Yes — say “every morning” or “the 1st of each month” and Emberel schedules it and rolls it forward each time you complete it. You can also snooze anything, and set quiet hours so nothing pings overnight.

What does it cost?

Public-beta access is free. Paid checkout is inactive, no card is requested, and creating an account does not start a subscription. Retained paid tiers/prices are uncommitted product research, not an available or finalized offer. See Plans & billing.

Is SMS available?

No. The SMS campaign is approved. SMS remains disabled pending controlled activation tests. There are no active SMS allowances.

Can I use voice on any plan?

Voice capture is available during the free beta, subject to file-size, security, AI-budget, and automated-abuse safeguards. Transcript and Spark creation are the core behavior; raw recording retention/playback depends on account entitlement and storage configuration. No paid voice quota is an active offer.

Is my data private?

Access is gated by Google or verified-email sign-in. Memory-specific AI answers use the relevant Emberel data supplied for the request; general planning/writing can use model reasoning. The current export covers the records described in Your data & privacy, and self-serve deletion purges user-scoped D1 data with the documented stored-file boundary.

Do you train AI on my content?

Emberel sends content needed for requested AI features to Cloudflare Workers AI. Cloudflare's current Workers AI policy says Customer Content is not used to train Workers AI models or improve Cloudflare/third-party services without explicit consent. This is provider-attributed current policy, not a universal timeless promise.

Does it work with my calendar?

Emberel implements Google Calendar and Tasks mappings in both directions with duplicate/loop safeguards. Historical connected-account production evidence exists; this correction pass does not claim a fresh universal reconciliation for every account. See Integrations.

Can Claude or ChatGPT use my Emberel memory?

MCP is deployed but access-gated to the demo/owner account, approved beta accounts, active trials, or entitled Pro, Power, or Founder accounts. Public-beta signup alone does not grant it. Eligible users approve a compatible assistant on an Emberel consent screen and can revoke it later. Full steps are in Integrations.

What can I capture with?
